The first half was dominated by the Philadelphia Fight, scoring on their first set, twice in as many weeks the Fight have accomplished that feat. The Fight would go on to score 8 more tries in the first half. Another try in the first half was scored by Weeks, three were added by lock Casey Clark, two from right winger Mike Gentile, one from fullback Louis Tuilo (playing in his First game with the Fight since XXX) and one from left winger Mike Timpano. Timpano was able to convert all but one try, going 8 for 9 on the day. For the season, Timpano is now 30 for 31.

At halftime the score was 52-0.

At the start of the second half, the Black Foxes came out a much stronger side, playing for pride at this stage of the match. The Fight were able to score a try early in the second half through prop Andrew Kneisly; however, the Black Foxes were not phased and quickly put three converted tries on the Fight. That’s the most points the Fight has yielded to any team all season. At the 60th minute the score line ran out 56-18.

The last 20 minutes of the match, the Fight were able to score three more tries, two through prop Josh Vaartjes, and one through right side second rower Jesse Fogg. At full time, the score line read 68-18.

“We were very happy with our first 40 minute performance,” added player coach Fraser Stirling. “We played a real solid 60 minutes of Rugby League, and I’m proud of the team.”

Next week the Fight will host NOVA Eagles in Conshohocken. Kickoff is scheduled for 5pm.
