North Conference heavyweights battle to remain undefeated

Three time USARL Champions Philadelphia Fight (4-0) will again look to secure home field advantage for the playoffs when they take on a rampaging New York Knights (4-0) that have surprised remaining undefeated this year. Gates open at 4pm with a reserve grade game and activities prior to the scheduled 5pm kickoff for the main game.

The Philadelphia Fight are pleased to announce a partnership with The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation to help fight childhood cancer!

The Andrew McDonough B+ (Be Positive) Foundation honors the life of Andrew McDonough. Andrew battled leukemia, septic shock and complications of childhood cancer for 167 days before passing away on July 14, 2007, at the age of 14. Andrew’s B+ blood type became his family’s and friends’ motto throughout his fight against childhood cancer — to “Be Positive”

The B+ Foundation is about Helping Kids Fight Cancer — by raising money to help fund critical, cutting-edge research, providing financial and emotional support to families of children with cancer nationwide, and advocating on their behalf.

We are proud to say that we have joined the fight against childhood cancer. We hope to see you all on July 9th, 2016 as we take on the New York Knights at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium, in the 1st Annual “Clash with Cancer” charity match – with the proceeds going to The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation.

The day has been lined up with very special events for all those in attendance, including the introduction of the Philadelphia Fight’s very own B+ Hero; who will be joining us for the National Anthem, will serve as the honorary captain for the coin toss, and will have a special seat on the Fight bench. At half-time, we are honored to have Andrew’s father, Joe McDonough, speak to everyone and tell Andrew’s story, along with the story of the foundation – and the great work they do.

In lieu of an admission charge, make a donation at the Philadelphia Fight’s Be Positive Page. Print out or take a screenshot of your donation in order to gain free access at the gates on match day. We will also be accepting donations during the game. If your organization, team or office is interested in creating a fundraising team, you can reach out to us on Facebook.
