The White Plains Wombats will travel to Canada to play against the Brantford Broncos as a curtain raiser to the Toronto Wolfpack..

White Plains, NY, February 3, 2017– The Wombats are happy to announce that we will be travelling to Toronto, Canada to play the Brantford Broncos on May 20th, 2017 in a friendly preseason International. The game will be played at Lamport Stadium, prior to the Toronto Wolfpack home game against Barrow.

“We’re beyond excited to have this opportunity. First and foremost, we’d like to thank the Toronto Wolfpack for allowing us to compete in their great facility. Next of course, is the USARL and the CRL for helping facilitate the creation of this game. We’re looking forward to making history on May 20th when we play Brantford.”-Phil Schacter, President

This will be a historic moment for Rugby League in North America as it’s the first time two domestic club teams from the USA and Canada will compete against each other.
