Play League in Australia
The National Rugby League State & Regional Club competitions run from Febuary/March through to September each year.
Rugby League clubs throughout Australia are providing opportunities for US atheletes interested in furthering their Rugby League careers in a professional and highlevel competitive environment. All USA players who are participating in the NRL, must first be cleared by the USARL prior to departure. The NRL has strict compliance in how the game is governed in matters of both judiciary or doping issues. Any grievances or outstanding debts or matters where they may owe money to clubs etc must be disclosed to the intended club.
USA passport holders ages 18-31 are eligible for Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462) allowing stay for up to 12 months. Players should anticipate a traveling budget of $5,000 to $7,000 with the expectation of finding work and accomodation depending on arrangements made with the club. Players are encouraged to work through their registered USARL club administrators to ensure transparent communications with both clubs and players expectations managed correctly.
