The USA Rugby League (USARL) is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that depends on its members to create opportunities for Rugby League participation nationwide. Our success relies on the dedication of players, coaches, officials, and supporters who share our commitment to the sport.
Before engaging in USARL activities, we encourage you to review our Strategic Vision to gain a deeper understanding of our mission, organizational structure, code of conduct, and development programs.
Begin By Being Social
You're our most valuable marketing asset
Rugby League is all about building strong communities and making a positive impact on people's lives. The USARL invites you to be a part of this growth by joining a local club or supporting a player on their Rugby League journey, whether through following or funding their progress.
By engaging with USA Rugby League content on social media, you help spread our mission and values within your community. Each post, share, or comment amplifies our message to your network of trusted friends and family. Your ongoing support through likes, comments, and shares serves as the most effective form of advertising. Please remember to advertise responsibly!
Step 1: Gather a group of like-minded individuals and collaborate to define your club’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Build a working group to explore potential locations, choose a club name, select colors, and assess your player base to begin planning the foundation of the club.
Step 2: Lodge an Expression of Interest (EOI) in starting a club, and we will reach out to guide you through the next steps to ensure a smooth start.
Step 3: Focus on recruitment and organizing games to build momentum for the club’s growth and success.
Refereeing is a fun, exciting, non-contact way to be involved with Rugby League. Not only do you get to see all the action from the best position on the field, but it’s a great way to keep fit and meet new people.
The Level 1 Referee course will teach you the fundamentals of the Referee’s involvement in the game. The Course is comprised of online learning and some face-to-face learning. Once you have completed the online and face-to-face sessions, you will have gained the skills and knowledge needed to be a fair and effective referee. On completion of ALL online learning, a short face-to-face assessment is required to test skills learnt in the theory modules.
Why do I need an accreditation to coach a Rugby League team? Eventually it will become compulsory for all Rugby League coaches in the USA, regardless of what age or level you are coaching at. For Rugby League to grow successfully, it is essential that new coaches gain a basic understanding of how to coach, different stages of learning and development, safety considerations, as well as the core skills, tactics and laws of the game prior to taking on the role of a coach.
