The three clubs Orlando Adrenaline, Daytona Gearheads and the Jacksonville Hatchets will play four games with the top two playing for the championship final. The first game kicks off this weekend as a curtain raiser for Round One’s 2010 Grand Final replay between the Axemen and the New Haven Warriors.
“Firehouse Subs has been an incredible partner for Rugby League and without their support we wouldn’t have been able to do with this”, said Axemen founder Spinner Howland. “Not only in the USA but for the fans of our sport who visit from overseas to places such as Orlando, Daytona, Jacksonville or the other states that Firehouse Subs are located in. “We are asking our fans to show their appreciation and support Firehouse Subs by visiting one of their restaurants and acknowledging their support to the Axemen.”
The new competition expands the Axemen’s playing roster by exposing new players to the game through a level two competition.
