One team from each division has committed to this great cause, these teams being Tampa Mayhem, Philadelphia Fight and Brooklyn Kings. Team Red, White and Blue is a national, not-for-profit organization who aim to improve the lives of America’s military veterans by re-engaging them in their communities through physical and social activities including fitness, racing and community gatherings.

Spinner Howland from the Tampa Mayhem said, “the team has a number of former military members on their active roster and partnering with Team Red, White and Blue seemed an ideal opportunity to pay respect to their own veterans.” Similarly to paying their respects, the Mayhem will be aiming to raise money for a great cause through a charity raffle where all proceeds will be donated to Team RWB. The Philadelphia Fight also aims to raise funds for the organization through auctioning their jerseys as well as holding a raffle.

The Brooklyn Kings will be organizing pre-match events for Team RWB whilst also conducting a Rugby League Skills session after the match against the Connecticut Wildcats. Brooklyn Kings CEO and USARL Director of Strategic Partnerships, Matt Bailey can see a long future in the relationship with USARL and Team RWB, seeing it as a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community saying, “I’m really excited to grow this relationship. It’s a fantastic way to honor our troop.”

Plans are already underway to increase the commitment to the mission of Team Red, White and Blue for the 2016 season. It is hoped that more teams will be on board in 2016 to further the efforts of the Fight, Kings and Mayhem.
