USARL Announces Resignation of Bernie Gurr from Board of Directors and Treasurer Position

Jacksonville, FL, 6.5.24 – The United States Association of Rugby League (USARL) announced today that Bernie Gurr will be stepping down from his position on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer, citing personal and family reasons. The USARL board respects Bernie’s decision and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.

Bernie has been a tremendous resource to the USARL, and we are grateful for his dedication and hard work," said USARL Chair Matt Goschnick. "We know Bernie will remain a strong advocate for rugby league in the US, and we appreciate his continued support for the sport."

The board has not yet determined when a replacement will be elected but remains focused on maintaining the current momentum of the men’s and women’s domestic season, as well as the excitement of the upcoming USA Boy’s U19 Hawks traveling to Serbia for the European Championship on July 12th.
