Boston looking to rebound against Rebellion

The Boston 13s began the 2014 season in the best possible way with a 102-0 win against the Baltimore Blues and the side led by Head Coach, Robin Peers, is aiming to go all the way this year and get their hands on the National Championship.
Boston looking to rebound against Rebellion

The club, founded in 2009, almost won the competition back in 2012 but found themselves beaten at the hands of a very strong Jacksonville Axemen side, succumbing to a 28-22 defeat. This season though the 13s are in great shape having added some talented local players as well as some very capable imports to help boost their roster. The experienced

Carl Harrison could turn out to be the standout player this season as he has worked possibly the hardest of all to get to where he is today. Harrison has seen a big turnaround since he began his career in Boston in 2011 and over the past 4 years has shed 100lbs through dedication, discipline and a great work ethic and will be a solid part of the 13s outfit this year.

Rugby league has allowed Harrison to realize his dreams to keep fit and states that the sport has inspired him to not put limitations on himself or his abilities and he is looking forward to working with his teammates to put the Boston 13s into the history books.

Head Coach, Peers, sees the 4 divisional games against the Rhode Island Rebellion and the Brooklyn Kings as key if they are set to succeed this season. The 13s are aiming to qualify as the number 1 seed on the road to the USARL National Championship game but believe that helping to further grow the game and spread the word of rugby league as far and wide as possible is another of their main goals this year.

The side in green and gold are going into this season believing that they are going to win it all as Peers believes that thinking that anyone else has a better chance is a recipe for failure. It looks as though they have already formed a healthy rivalry with the Brooklyn

Kings, with the newly formed Brooklyn side getting the better of the 13s 26-24 in their recent clash. That being said, the whole 13s club can appreciate the bigger picture and is looking forward to seeing the continued development of the sport in America and with more and more clubs and players joining the league all the time, rugby league in the USA is a very exciting project to be a part of.
