Americas Championship

Following the success of their games in the Rugby League World Qualifiers in 2015 – USA, Canada and Jamaica have unveiled a new tournament, ‘The Rugby League Americas Championship.' The three nations will play the other to determine the champions of the Americas region with the goal to play tournament annually. RLIF chairman Nigel Wood, who attended the final world cup qualification match in Jacksonville last December, said: “This is a very significant initiative in the development of our sport internationally. All three nations are to be congratulated for taking the world cup qualifying process onto the next logical level.”

Champions - Jamaica

Hosted by the City of Jacksonville Florida Nov 13-17, Jamaica wins the 2018 Rugby League Americas Championship defeating USA Hawks 16 to 10 in the Championship Game. Jamaica qualified by defeating Canada 38-8 and USA qualified by defeating newcomers Chile 64-0.

USA wins the 2017 Rugby League Americas Championship defeating Canada Wolverines 36 to 18 along with defeating the Jamaica Reggae Warriors 48- 6. Tournament.
