Mark Gliddon

Mark Gliddon

Assistant Coach

Mark Gliddon is a true professional in Rugby League coaching and development. At Brisbane Norths Devils he has 94 Intrust Super Cup games under his belt as Head Coach, and is the Devils full-time Development Manager, activities which he coordinates with the Brisbane Broncos. His profession commenced as a talent scout for the Canberra Raiders some 13 years ago which has lead to a very successful career as coach and competent manager in player development for the past 4 years at Norths Devils.

“With Brian at the helm of the USA Hawks and his interaction with the USA players and clubs is a great initiative going forward. The implication of Brian’s introduction and sharing of his “Game Systems” is a great idea so they do not have to start from scratch when we all arrive in Townsville on October 21”.

Mark showed his talent in coaching as far back as 2003 when he lead Wynnum Seagulls – FOGS Cup to the Grand Final. After the 2006 season at Souths Logan – Intrust Super Cup as coach, he returned to Wynnum Seagulls for a FOGS Cup Premiership in 2007. The next few years saw a mixture of experience with Fogs Cup, Mal Meninga and Intrust Super Cup coaching at Wynnum Seagulls, Souths Logan, West Panthers and finally at Norths Devils. While all this was going on, Mark was showing success at either coach or assistant coach for Queensland Residents, Queensland Rangers and Queensland University for three wins over 4 years. Then came his promotion to Australian Universities coach for 5 wins and 1 loss over 2014 and 2015 seasons.
