Over the past 10yrs Jamie has held positions as Head Coach, Coach Educator and Game Development for QLD Cup, QLD Universities, Wynnum and Brisbane Norths Devils; Elite & Talented Player ID / Recruitment and Academy Programs for Brisbane Broncos and Brisbane Norths Devils, including 3-years as Brisbane Norths Devils CEO.

Chairman, Peter Illfield said, “Unfortunate circumstances have brought about an opportunity for Jamie to replace Mark and assist Head Coach Brian McDermott for USA’s RLWC2017 campaign. It should prove seamless due to his close association and consultation with Mark and Mac over the past 10 months of preparation. We welcome Jamie to the team and look forward to his expertise being part of our coaching staff.”

McDermott was sympathetic, “We were very sorry to hear about Gliddo’s family circumstances and his last minute withdrawal. Jamie Dowse and I have met earlier in the year and he is a terrific replacement and overall good guy. I'll take the lead to start with and he'll be a more than suitable back me up in the weeks to come."

Jamie Dowse spoke about his involvement with the USA team. “I am excited to be involved with the USA squad for the 2017 World Cup. It will be a great experience for not only myself but all of the players and staff. I am also looking forward to working under Super League premiership winning coach Brian McDermott.”

The USA team arrives in Townville, QLD on October 21.
