Boston signal the tide is turning

The result and the end of the regular season sees the Fight secure 2nd place with Boston in 3rd and a rematch in the form of an elimination semi-final.

The 13s started the game at a frantic pace. Physical defense, particularly from Patrick Canty, laid the perfect platform for the attack to shine. Resulting in a 14 - 0 lead at quarter time the Fight were overwhelmed by the powerful Boston side early in the match and struggled to post any points until the final quarter.

The second period was much of the same, with 13s capitalising on the back of some brutal defense from their forward pack. Great ball control and set completion saw the 13s finish the half on top 34 – 0.

Philadelphia came out in the second half looking to reel in the deficit, and although they were able to cross for a couple of tries, they were unable to match it with the 13s who really turned up to play on the day.

The Fight have plenty of work to do in their preparation over the next two weeks to turn around their fortunes for a win over Boston 13s to get them to the Championship Final on August 25, in Boston.
