WMMR headline the Championship Match in Philadelphia
93.3 WMMR Morning Show DJ Steve Morrison to headline USA Rugby League National Championship Match.
The Philadelphia Fight Rugby League Club are excited to announce that 93.3 WMMR Philadelphia Radio Host Steve Morrison part of the popular Preston and Steve morning show will be headlining the USA Rugby League National Championship Match on Saturday August 24th, 2013 in Conshohocken PA at 3pm. Steve will be on hand in our VIP Tent to mingle with VIP’s, along with rugby league enthusiasts and his radio fans during the afternoon.
The Preston and Steve show is a morning radio comedy and variety broadcast on Philadelphia Active Rock station 93.3 FM WMMR featuring DJ’s Preston Elliot and Steve Morrison. The show, which originated at Y100 in Philadelphia, features daily telephone interviews, in-studio guests, celebrity impersonations, unusual news stories, and numerous sound clips and running gags. It broadcasts live on the radio as well as streaming audio via the station website from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. EST, Monday through Friday, and is a featured podcast in the comedy section of the iTunes Store.
The show has been named the “Best Morning Show” by Philadelphia Style magazine, and “Personality/Show of the Year” in the active rock category by Radio & Records trade magazine. Before switching to WMMR, the show won various Philadelphia A.I.R. Awards, including the “Best Weekday Morning Team” award for 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2005, and was voted best local morning show in the country in FMQB’s Year End Leaders Poll for 2004 and 2005 in two different formats.
The USARL National Championship Match starts at 3pm at A.A. Garthwaite Stadium, East 11th Avenue and Harry Streets, Conshohocken, PA 19428. It is going to be an exciting day, so make sure to get out to the A Field and have a few Victory beers from our 30 keg beer truck, have a few hamburgers and hot dogs, or do a shot of Jagermeister with the Jager girls. The Fight Vixens will perform and of course watch the best Rugby League action in the USA!
