Republic Services sponsor “Kids in Free” for National Champions

Republic Services had sponsored an initiative that allowed kids 15 years and under to get free admission to all Jacksonville Axemen games during the 2014 season. When the Axemen become the team to represent the Southern Conference in the National Championship, Republic Services quickly became the presenting sponsor and continued the “Kids in Free” initiative.

“What an incredible partner and an incredible statement to make for your community”, said Spinner Howland. “Firstly to help families in the Jacksonville community attend Axemen games all season, and now this initiative with the National Championship. The presenting sponsorship is massive for us and we are excited to put a national brand on this great event for Jacksonville, but letting the kids in free is just as big. Families who shared the excitement of the Axemen winning the Conference Championship will now be able to attend the National Championship, in Jacksonville. When you think about what attending this game means to young Axemen fans, Republic Services have provided an opportunity that many Jacksonville kids will remember for the rest of their lives.”

The Axemen will also continue the recycling effort during the National Championship game, where Republic Services disposable collection bins will be placed around the venue to make plastic recycling convenient for all fans.
