Rhinos Battle Warriors to Save Home

Atlanta Rhinos face the Central Florida Warriors this Saturday in their effort to host a home playoff game on July 26.
Rhinos Battle Warriors to Save Home

The Rhinos fell to the Warriors early in the season when they visited Deland, FL. but with more games under their belts, and a full compliment of import players, the Atlanta team is looking to even the series this Saturday at Silverback Stadium. The game will get underway at 4pm, and hour before the original scheduled time, to allow the venue partner to host an international soccer game later in the evening.

The Rhinos need to win this weekend and then again in Tampa on July 19, to reply on the points differential to jump them into second place in the Southern Conference.

Both teams take a weeks rest into the game as the USA Rugby League enjoyed their Independence Day Bye weekend, and both are rumored to be at full strength for the game. The Rhinos however, have added some potency to their attack since the meeting in early June, with import player Bruce Barrie joining fellow Australians, brother Dave Barrie, and head coach Jordan Smedley to fill the full 3 import quota allowed in the USA Rugby League.

The team has also had a month to work out the kinks from the cross over American Football players, and the likes of Derris Taylor and brothers Justin and Dustin Syas, are becoming a bigger challenge for teams each week. The Rhinos are also finding more and more attacking options from the play makers and power running forwards that have joined the team from the Atlanta Renegades club, who have been a great partner in promoting the year round options for Rugby in the Atlanta market.

Off the field, the Rhinos will be making a great event for the afternoon with Walk up admission only $5 and Kids 15 years and younger being admitted free. There are full concessions on offer during the game, with 16oz Yuengling beers for only $3, and Copa DiVino Wine on offer for only $4. There will be a featured National Anthem Performance prior to the game courtesy of Haley Carswell, and supporter Merchandise will also be available for sale.

Of course Kill Cliff Sports Recovery Drink will also be present during the event, and we encourage all our fans to visit their local Quick Trip or GNC to grab a Kill Cliff to experience how AWESOME our players feel for every game.

Following the game, all fans and supporters are encouraged to join BOTH teams for the official post game Meet and Greet, at “The Bird Rotisserie and Grill” located in Dunwoody. Special pricing on Yuengling will also be extended during the post game event.
