Boston 13s: In a cruel twist of fate, the big man was forced to take a year away from the game last season. That meant he missed out on 2015's successes, but his year away from the game has made him hungry to be back in a green and gold jersey for the 2016 campaign.

The Bryant University alum joined the 13s program back in 2012 and has really excelled after learning the nuances of the game. There aren't many bigger front rowers in the competition and its great to have a guy with 3 years of USARL experience to bolster our front row; a front row that is in need of some reinforcement after the departures of Curtis Goddard (Yass Magpies, Australia) & Jonpaul Davis (Retirement).

Joe had this to say about his impending return:

"Even though I've been away from the game for a while, I always make it a point to stay in the best shape I can, but naturally, you never really know what kind of shape you're in until you find yourself in the last 10 minutes of a league match. There's bound to be some rust that needs to be shaken off but I think one of the best traits of our club is that players and coaches alike help each other to become better. I'm just happy as hell to be getting back onto the pitch with a great group of guys and continue the success they earned from 2015."
