Fight no bull about the title race

The spotlight is firmly on the Philadelphia Fight to push for Northern title honors after recently recruiting USA Tomahawk stars Michael Garvey and Andrew Kneisly.

Both Garvey and Kneisly played with the PA Bulls until they recently registered with the USARL under the new player registration guidelines and joined the club in prep for their opening game against the Rhode Island Rebellion this weekend.

Michael Garvey is known for his amazing speed and ability to score in spectacular fashion. He first started playing his Rugby League career in 2009 with the Hawaii Harlequins before switching over to Rugby League for the Aston Bulls. In 2011 Garvey was selected a member of the USA Tomahawks which saw him then play two seasons in Australia for the QLD Ipswich Jets.

Garvey was quoted, "After getting to know some of the Fight boys this off season, I can’t wait to put on the kit play along side them this year. I’m looking forward to contending for a national title.”

In the forward pack and out wide, Andrew Kneisly gives the Fight plenty more options with his tight defense and play making skills. Earlier this year, Kneisly took part in the inaugural USA Pioneer Tour to Jamaica where he was reunited with a number of former teammates.

Kneisly was quoted, “As a result of the USARL Pioneer Tour to Jamaica, I was able to get to know some of the Fight Players beyond former playing opponents. Some of these guys I have known for a long time and it was nice to be teammates with them again. I hope I can help contribute to winning a national title for the Fight in Season IV."
