Rhinos “Win or Go Home” Quarter Final

The Warriors who suffered a lose to the Axemen this past weekend have maintained their second seed ranking, and the Rhinos coming in as the third seed after falling to the Mayhem in Tampa by just 2 points.

The teams have faced off twice during the regular season with the outcome being even at one each. With each win coming for the home team the Rhinos are going to counter the travel by heading to Florida a day early to prepare for the expected high temperature and humidity. The game will be played at Spec Martin Stadium with kickoff slated for 5pm on Saturday.

The Winner will advance to the USA Rugby League Southern Conference Championship game on August 2nd, while the loser will see out the season as spectators.

The other Quarter Final sees the top seeded Axemen host the fourth seeded Tampa Mayhem in Jacksonville at 3pm.

Allen Cantrell out of this weekends lineup

3Rhinos hard man Allen Cantrell had been a force since day one with the new Atlanta team. Not only in attack but also in defense, and he proved that by winning the “Biggest Hit” reward that was offered during their game against the Axemen.

However the latest medical news has forced Allen from the team and he underwent surgery this past week. Going into a tackle, he received a shoulder to his left lower orbital under the eye and nose. After receiving a CT scan, he was informed that he had sustained a fracture to his lower orbital and nose. The only repair was to have a titanium plate placed underneath his eye to fill the space created in the orbital from the fracture.
